4 squares Baker’s Unsweetened Chocolate
3/4 cup (1 and 1/2 sticks) margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional) or chocolate chips
Makes about 24 fudgy brownies
Heat oven to 350 F (325 for a glass dish). Line 13 x
9 baking pan with foil extending over edges to form
handles. Grease foil.
Microwave chocolate and margarine in large
microwavable bowl on High 2 min. or until butter is
melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir sugar into melted chocolate mixture until well
blended. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and
nuts until well blended. Spread in prepared pan.
Bake for 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in
center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not over bake.
Cool in pan. Lift out of pan onto cutting board. Cut
For cake like brownies, stir in 1/2 cup milk with
