P-Squared Trivia
What is P-Squared?
Penguin Power, also known as P-Squared, is a free, educational club created to help Mr. Matera’s students learn new “stuff” using literary and Internet resources.
How do you join?
Joining P-squared is simple. All you have to do is answer one or more of the questions at the bottom of this page, and give your answer(s) to Mr. Matera, either in class or by e-mail. You will earn points for each correct answer, and your name will be listed on the Scoreboard. The more questions you answer correctly, the more points you earn. Mr. Matera’s student with the most points at the end of each Semester wins a cool prize!
How do you find the answers?
Any way you want — books, encyclopedias, the Internet, Mom or Dad, or a really smart friend. Just a hint, Mr. Matera finds his answers by trying multiple sources.
Do I have to answer all the questions?
No. You may answer as many questions as you wish. Just remember, your first answer is the only answer that can earn you points for each question.
Can I turn in answers one at a time?
The simple answer is no. You must turn in all your answers at the same time regardless of how many questions you are answering. You may email your answers to Mr. Matera or write them down and turn them in.
How long to the answer have to be?
Your answer must be written in complete sentences. Some students give a short description this helps them in the case of a close answer.
How long do I have to answers the questions?
Each set of questions will remain on the P-Squared’s page for at least one week. You can only earn points for questions that are currently listed on this page.
